This week we said good bye to Lisa Tamiris Becker, Director of the CU Art Museum here in Boulder.
Lisa served as Executive Director of the museum for the past ten years. Lisa, a true visionary who is moving on to other ventures in New Mexico, will be sorely missed. During her 10-year tenure at the CU Art Museum, Lisa spearheaded the grand-opening of the Museum’s stunning new facility on the Boulder campus. If you haven’t visited the Museum, you really should. We think you’ll be absolutely amazed by its beauty. It feels like a major museum in New York or LA.
Lisa is also responsible for significantly increasing the Museum’s permanent collection. The Museum’s current exhibition, From Cherry Blossoms to Snow, curate by Lisa, is truly worth a visit. The exhibition features woodblock prints by Japanese masters from both the 19th and 20th centuries. We are most grateful to Lisa Tamiris Becker for her numerous contributions to the arts here in Boulder, Colorado.
We wish her well in New Mexico.
